Access to real settings.
Properties, guests, staff and operating data that you cannot get from a panel or a student sample.
You know how to design a study and run it well. What is hard to find is a hotel that will open its doors, a dataset that did not come from a panel, or a question that someone in the industry is waiting on. CoLab Hospitality connects you with companies that have those questions and want to work with you to answer them.

Properties, guests, staff and operating data that you cannot get from a panel or a student sample.
Companies post what they want to know. You choose the ones that fit your research and your methods.
Authorship, data use and publication are agreed up front, so you know what you keep before you start.
How it will work for you
Build your profile once. Browse open projects, or let companies find you.
We match your expertise and methods with company questions that fit, and show you why.
Agree the scope, the data and the publication terms. Then the research starts.
When the platform opens, your profile will start from your ORCID, so your publications can come in without retyping. Then you will add the part that matters most. A few plain sentences on what you study and what you can help a company with. You will pick your methods, your availability, and the kinds of work you are open to, such as paid projects, grant funded work, data sharing, co authorship, guest speaking or training. A general manager can read it in a minute and know whether to reach out.
When the platform opens, you will be able to link a paper and the platform will draft a short plain language summary for industry readers. What you asked, what you found, and what it means for a hotel or a restaurant. You will review it, change what you want, and approve it before anyone sees it. The approved summary will appear on your profile with a link to the published paper. Uploaded papers will stay private. It is the version of your work you have always wanted to hand to an operator, written once and ready to share.
Every project begins with a short agreement that covers four things.
Who is on the paper and in what order.
What you can access, how it is stored, and what you can keep after the project ends.
Your right to publish, what the company can ask to hold back, and for how long.
What is being studied and when, so the project does not grow past what you agreed.
You are not doing free consulting. You are doing research, with a partner, on terms you agreed to.
Tell us what you study and what you could help a company with. We will be in touch within a week, and you will be first in line when matching opens.
